Haney Learners

• “Haney” is inspired by the word “honey” (and pronounced in the same manner), while incorporating “Han” (汉) to refer to the Chinese language/people/culture. The “ey” also alludes to English (英, pronounced as “ying” in Chinese).

• Honey is well-known for its many health benefits. We hope the bilingual content we offer will similarly enrich people’s lives. Just as some people consume honey everyday, perhaps the content from Haney Learners can serve as one of your healthy daily dose of Chinese.

• Proficiency takes time and effort. We are learning every day and we are all works in progress. Let's have fun learning together!

• The Chinese name for Haney Learners is 汉语乐 (pronounced as "han yü le", which explains why there is ü in the logo). Mandarin Chinese, like any other language, can be fun! We hope more people can be smiling as they encounter this beautiful language and we would love to be able to help you do so!
